Spartan is an early-ripening variety: the fruit can be picked from mid-July onwards. The berries are large and not only taste delicious, but also attract the eye with their appearance. They have a beautiful dark blue colour and are covered with a waxy coating. The flesh is greenish, juicy and sweet, with a slight vinous aftertaste.
